Fast Receipts is a receipt scanning and organization app. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how we handle your data.

Data We Collect

Receipt Data

• Images: Photos of receipts you scan or import are stored locally on your device.
• Extracted Text: We use optical character recognition (OCR) to extract text from your receipts for parsing.
• Parsed Information: Vendor names, dates, amounts, and categories extracted from your receipts.

Account Data

• Anonymous Authentication: We use Firebase Anonymous Authentication to create a unique identifier for your device. No personal information (email, name, phone) is required or collected.
• Subscription Status: If you subscribe to Pro features, we store your subscription status.

How We Use Your Data

• Receipt Processing: Your receipt images are sent to our secure servers for OCR and AI-powered parsing to extract receipt details.
• Cloud Backup (Pro): Pro users can opt to sync their receipt data to the cloud for backup and cross-device access.
• App Functionality: To provide features like search, export, and organization.

Data Storage

• Local Storage: All receipt images and data are stored locally on your device by default.
• Cloud Storage: If you enable cloud backup (Pro feature), your data is stored securely in Google Firebase/Firestore.
• Temporary Processing: Receipt images sent for parsing are processed and not permanently stored on our servers.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Google Firebase: For authentication, cloud storage, and backend services.
• Google Cloud Vision: For optical character recognition (OCR).
• OpenAI: For AI-powered receipt parsing.
• RevenueCat: For subscription management.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. Your receipt data is only used to provide app functionality and is not shared with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.

Data Retention

• Local data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app.
• Cloud backup data is retained until you delete it or request account deletion.

Your Rights

• Delete Data: You can delete individual receipts or jobs within the app at any time.
• Export Data: You can export your receipts as PDF or CSV files.
• Account Deletion: Contact us to request complete deletion of your cloud data.

Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including:

• Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS)
• Firebase Security Rules to protect your data
• Anonymous authentication to minimize personal data collection

Children's Privacy

Fast Receipts is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
